Stephen Simpkin, Data Science Fellow for Essex County Council and a member of the Essex Centre for Data Analytics team has been shortlisted for the Professor Sir Ian Diamond Excellence Award 2021, within the Analysis In Government Awards. ​

​“It was incredible to be nominated, but to be shortlisted is overwhelmingly exciting,” says Stephen. “This is an award for talking about analytics, and the most pleasing element in the last year has been that the things I have been talking about are now dominated by our own team’s projects to improve outcomes for people rather than use cases from the private sector or academia.”​
