14:10    What’s Possible with Data Visualisation: Jane Crowe, National Programme Manager, Office for National Statistics

Drawing on examples from across the country Jane will share what’s possible through data visualisation and will challenge us to consider the fundamental principles of visualisation, good practice, and how audiences think about data visuals all core content of ONS’ Data Visualisation module, which now forms part of its Data Accelerator programme.

14:40    Dashboard in a day: Essex Police

Colleagues from Essex Police will demonstrate how to create a dashboard in a day and will share what they have learned about how best to bring business intelligence to life for internal customers.

15:10    Data Visualisation using R: University of Essex

The University of Essex will give us a taste of their training on data visualisation delivered as part of this year’s IADS Summer School. Data colleagues who participated in the full training will share their reflections on applying the learning, in a what works review.
