Azeem Akhtar

Azeem is currently serving as CTO in BT’s Global Services division and is responsible for providing thought leadership to global clients at board level. His focus is on digital transformation and the deployment of technology to enable the client to achieve it’s strategic business objectives.

In 2016, Azeem was named as one of the ‘Top 100 Most Influential BAME (Black and Ethnic Minority) Business Leaders in the UK’ and was again shortlisted for the same award in 2018. He was also nominated for ‘CTO of the Year 2018’ by Information Age. Essex-born Azeem is passionate about supporting local causes. He is a strong believer in promoting sport as a means to keep fit and to foster a culture of achievement that can permeate other spheres in life.
