ecda establishes partnership with Cloudwick

The Essex Centre for Data Analytics, the county’s centre of excellence for providing public sector data science capability, has established a new partnership for 2020 with Cloudwick and Amazon Web Services.

The Essex Centre for Data Analytics (ecda) - a partnership venture between Essex County Council, Essex Police and The University of Essex - provides a safe and secure platform allowing public sector partners to bring together and ethically share data, on some of the biggest challenges facing people and places in our county; homelessness, gang violence, knife crime, vulnerable young people, mental health, and generate new insight that enables organisations and citizens to make shared decisions about how we tackle these issues early to prevent crisis.

The new partnership with Cloudwick and Amazon Web Services will enable ecda to build data analytics capacity and capability across Essex. Using Cloudwick’s Amorphic Data Platform, ecda can support organisations within Essex to share their data securely, within a governed process, allowing them to maintain complete control of their data to produce insight that strengthens partners’ approaches to intervening early and delivering preventative solutions.

ecda is committed to embedding the highest ethical, information governance and security standards into our work at all times. The Amorphic Data Platform is compliant with GDPR, National Cyber Security Council Cloud Security Principles and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.  All data and the support and maintenance for data is hosted within the UK.
