Supporting small scale local projects to create connections

The Essex Crowd is all about bringing people together behind good ideas that communities want to see happen. We want to back local good ideas that create connections and bring people together.

From temporary water slides to a community allotment, Essex has a new way to fund and support small scale local projects.

The Essex Crowd is a new crowdfunding platform for residents, community groups and organisations to share their community ideas and offer neighbours, local businesses and other interested parties the opportunity to pledge their support to make the idea a reality.

Ideas can range from a local festival or event, a project to bring disused buildings or open spaces back to life, to Christmas lights for a town or village.

Crowdfunding is a great way to get people behind a project to make it a reality, ideas can be uploaded to The Essex Crowd on Spacehive now and then shared socially to raise awareness amongst interested parties and to gain the all-important funding support.
